Trail-Ready Learner Conference

October 9–10, 2026 · Friday evening & Saturday

Frisco Bible Church · Frisco, Texas

A nationally coordinated, regionally driven, locally staffed conference that connects leaders, explains processes, and equips every Trail Life adult leader and parent. This is where you belong.

The full Saturday session agenda comes from the region closer to the conference. Dates, venue, and pricing below are confirmed.

For adults — leaders and parents

TRLC is not a Trailman event. It is built for the adults who make troops work: Troopmasters, Trail Guides, committee members, charter organization representatives, and parents who want to understand the program their son is in. Bring anyone who is curious, brand new, or has been serving for years.

Why attend

One evening and one day with the people who run Trail Life across our region.

Connect with leaders

Meet the leaders of other troops across the South Plains Region — the people solving the same problems you are.

Understand the processes

The paperwork, the policies, the systems. Get the how and the why explained by the people who work with them.

Take home what works

Practical information you can put to use at your next troop meeting.

Leave equipped

Come away clearer on your role and better prepared to serve your Trailmen.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be a registered leader to come?

No. TRLC is for any Trail Life adult — registered leaders and parents alike. If your son is in a troop and you want to understand the program better, this is for you.

Can I bring my Trailmen?

No. This is an adults-only conference. It is training and connection for the leaders and parents behind the troop, not a program event for youth.

What does it cost?

$40 per person through August 31, 2026, then $50 per person through October 9. Register four adults from your troop together and the fourth is free.

Do I need to attend both days?

The conference is built as one experience running Friday evening through Saturday afternoon. Onsite registration opens at 5:30 pm Friday with the first session at 6:30 pm, and Saturday closes at 4:00 pm.

Where do I stay Friday night?

Lodging is on your own — this is an indoor conference at a church, not a campout. Frisco has hotels close to the venue, and troops attending together often share rooms to keep costs down.

What is a Trail-Ready Learner Conference, exactly?

It is a Trail Life USA program coordinated nationally, driven by each region, and staffed locally. That means the sessions carry national content while the people delivering it are the leaders serving here in the South Plains Region.
